Doreen Heng is the Deputy Director of Nursing at Alexandra Hospital, where she leads Professional Development, Education, and Innovation. She also serves as Co-Programme Director (Clinical) for the Graduate Certificate in Integrated Health at the National University of Singapore.

With over two decades of experience in nursing education, clinical leadership and healthcare innovation, Doreen has led major workforce and capability building initiatives across the National University Health System. She plays an active role in national efforts to strengthen nursing development through her appointment to the Ministry of Health’s Work Study Workgroup, supporting the design and implementation of nursing work study programmes in Singapore.

Doreen’s contributions span digital transformation, clinical education redesign, and the development of innovation driven programmes. Her work has been recognised with multiple awards, including the NUHS G.R.O.S.S. Commendation Award and MOH Health Innovation Fund support.
Her professional interests include design thinking, innovative pedagogy, workplace learning, and mental resilience.
