Dr. Joyce Lee is a Founding Health Sciences Clinical Professor from the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) at the University of California, Irvine. She is a certified Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh) in California with dual board certifications in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and Ambulatory Care (BCACP). She is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Dr. Lee has established numerous pharmacist-managed clinical services in the ambulatory care, hospital, and community settings with a focus on chronic disease management. Dr. Lee has a special interest in Health Services Research and innovation. To date, she has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and received numerous grants amounting to more than USD2 million on chronic disease management, healthcare delivery, and digital health. She has received many awards and accolades, including the nationwide Clinical Practice Award from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award from the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP). Professionally, Dr. Lee serves as the editorial board member of the Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She is also the Chair of the American Diabetes Association (ADA)’s Diabetes Self-Management Education & Support Interest Group Leadership Team.
