Clin Asst Prof Moosa Aminath Shiwaza

Dr Moosa is a Family Physician Specialist, Consultant with SingHealth Polyclinics (SHP). She
received her undergraduate degree from the Delhi University in 2009 and subsequently obtained the
Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) [MMed (FM)] from National University of Singapore in 2017
and conferred as a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians Singapore [FCFP(S)] in 2023.

Dr Moosa currently practices at SingHealth Polyclinics – Bukit Merah and serves as a member of the
Cardio-Vascular Disease (CVD) Workgroup, where she leads efforts to optimize the management of
patients with stroke and thyroid disorders across SHP. In addition to her clinical roles, she is actively
involved in teaching and hold academic appointments as Clinical Lecturer in the Department of
Medicine, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor in the SingHealth
Duke-NUS Family Medicine Academic Clinical Programme.

She is actively involved in research activities in SHP. Her research involvement spans multiple
projects within SHP, serving as both Principal Investigator and Co- Investigator. As Director of
Preventive Health Research in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Family Medicine Academic Clinical
Programme, she strengthens research capacity by leading workshops, mentoring emerging
researchers, and securing grants. She was awarded the National Medical Research Council (NMRC)
Research Training Fellowship, a highly competitive national award that identifies the next generation
of clinical research leaders in Singapore. A two-time recipient of the SingHealth Publish Award,
SingHealth DUKE NUS Academic Medicine (2023, 2024), she has consistently contributed to high-
impact medical journals, advancing global knowledge in Family Medicine

Dr Moosa also drives innovation in SHP, co-leading the IDEA (Ideate, Develop, Evaluate, Adopt)
Committee and the Innovation workstream within EEC, while serving on the SingHealth Innovation
Council. She additionally leads SHP’s Digital Health transformation under the Future Planning Team
