Senior Consultant, Family Medicine and Continuing Care Department,

Asst Prof Ng Lee Beng
Dr Ng Lee Beng is a senior consultant in the Department of Family Medicine and Continuing Care in Singapore General Hospital. She underwent her medical training in Singapore and has practised in diverse Family Medicine settings from ambulatory general practice and polyclinic settings to inpatient acute hospital and community hospital arenas. She was involved in pioneering the national Hospital to Home post discharge transitional homecare service to reduce hospital utilisation.
She was Programme Director for the College of Family Physicians Singapore’s Master of Medicine and Fellowship programmes successively between 2010 and 2018. She holds faculty positions at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duk-NUS Medical School. Her areas of special interest include training advance care planning facilitators and empowering patients in lifestyle changes. Internationally certified in Lifestyle Medicine, she advocates actively for the use of lifestyle interventions to not just prevent, but treat and reverse chronic disease, as well as for physician self-care.
