Associate Professor Tang Wern Ee is a Family Physician, Senior Consultant and Director of the Clinical Research Unit & Information Management and Analytics at NHG Polyclinics. She is involved in institutional efforts in building primary care research capability and evidence generation to inform everyday clinical practice. Her current research centres on chronic disease management, particularly diabetes remission and asthma. As Principal Investigator of several multi-site studies, she has designed and carried out clinical trials in busy primary care settings and incorporated the use of patient and public involvement to enhance the relevance of research to patients in primary care.

Beyond research, A/Prof Tang is Assistant Dean (Family Medicine) and Lead for the Longitudinal Community Experience at LKCMedicine, Nanyang Technological University. She also contributes to national and institutional committees and grant review panels, and supports initiatives that help clinicians develop rigorous, feasible and impactful primary care research
