Mr Tang Woh Peng
Tang Woh Peng began his career with the Ministry of Health's Pharmaceutical Service, spending a decade in national healthcare procurement, primary care pharmaceutical services, and health product regulation.
Since joining SingHealth Polyclinics (SHP), Woh Peng has provided leadership in pharmacy practice and education, developing and implementing pharmacy practice guidelines and documentation, training roadmaps, and competency assessment frameworks.
In the area of training and education, Woh Peng developed and implemented training programmes for internal staff and external trainees.
Internal training programmes implemented include a Pharmacy Continuing Education Programme, a structured training programme for Pharmacy Technicians, an internship programmes for Advanced Diploma students, workplace-based training for Pharmacy Assistants, and an in-house Pharmacy Technician Journal. External training programmes include Pre-registration Pharmacist Training Programme and an internship programme for polytechnic pharmacy students across Singapore's four polytechnics, all aligned with national competency standards.
From 2017 to April 2025, Woh Peng oversaw education and research across all Allied Health domains at SHP. He collaborated with Social Work and Dietetic leaders to establish student internship programmes and also promoted research and quality improvement projects in all SHP Allied Health domains, resulting in publications and securing of research grants.
Woh Peng has also served as a peer reviewer for Proceedings of Singapore Healthcare, having reviewed 2 research articles.
