Dr Wong is currently a Family Physician, Senior Consultant with Tan Tock Seng Hospital, NHG Health and Associate Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). His other roles include: Education Consultant to the College of Family Physician Singapore & Chief Medical Officer, NTU.

Besides undergraduate teaching, Dr Wong also examines for the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (FM) and the Master of Medicine (FM). At the national level, he currently serves as Co-chair of the National Medical Review Committee and as member of the Joint Committee of Family Medicine Singapore. Prior to his current roles, he was the Education Director, Pre-Professional Education Office & Academic Director of NHG College, NHG Health.

Dr Wong holds the MBBS, Master of Medicine (FM) and Master of Public Health from NUS, and a MSc in Health Professions Education from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. His research interest covers Family Medicine and Medical Education. He has secured multiple research grants and has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Nanyang Education Award (School), NTU; Education Leader Award, NHG Health and Mentor Award, NTU.
