Abstract
Primary care plays a pivotal role in reducing healthcare’s environmental footprint. This interactive workshop will equip healthcare professionals with knowledge and practical tools to identify, measure and reduce carbon emissions within primary care settings. Through a mini-lecture by an expert from Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), real-world case sharing by the Centre for Healthcare Innovation Sustainability Academy, and hands-on group exercises, participants will leave with a clearer understanding of sustainability in healthcare, a plan for small-scale workplace projects, and knowledge of resources and collaborators to support implementation. The workshop is relevant to all primary care professionals seeking to embed sustainable practices into everyday clinical operations.
Workshop Objectives
For participants to gain an understanding of the environmental impact of healthcare, how carbon emissions are calculated, and to think of ground up initiatives that can be embarked on to improve sustainability in Singapore’s primary care institutions.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Understand more about sustainability in healthcare
Start a small project on sustainability in their workplace, and know where to tap on resources and expertise
